Advantages of Pool Elements Made of Neopor

  • Quick Pool Construction with Heat-Insulating Neopor® Hollow-Core Blocks
  • Lower heating needs thanks to excellent thermal insulation
  • Rectangular, round, oval, or custom pool shapes are available
Whether you want to cool off in the summer or enjoy year-round indoor swimming fun, the MAGU Pool Kit lets you build your own swimming pool easily and efficiently. The high-quality pool panels made of Neopor provide excellent thermal insulation and high stability. This keeps the water at a comfortable temperature longer and lets you extend the swimming season well into the fall. The system is ideal for concrete or Styrofoam pool kits.

Build Your Own Swimming Pool or Natural Swimming Pond

To create the floor of your new swimming pool, start by using our floor slab system. It provides a stable foundation while also ensuring excellent thermal insulation. After the concrete floor slab has been poured, the MAGU pool elements made of Neopor are simply placed on top. Thanks to the well-designed system, straight walls and corners can be created with a perfect fit.

You then integrate inlet jets and underwater spotlights into the pool walls to ensure optimal water circulation and lighting. After that, the pool sections are filled with ready-mix concrete. This creates a permanently stable pool structure.

There are various options available for surface finishing. You can plaster the walls, apply spackle, or waterproof them with geotextile and pool liner. This allows you to design your swimming pool or natural swimming pond exactly as you envision it.

With MAGU pool modules, you can build a pool that’s easy to install, energy-efficient, and built to last—for carefree swimming fun right in your own backyard.

Schematic Diagram for Pool Construction

This diagram shows the step-by-step construction of a MAGU pool. From floor slab insulation to waterproofing, it provides an overview of the most important construction phases.

1. Preparing the Foundation

  • The MAGU floor slab insulation, cut to exact specifications, is installed on a layer of gravel.
  • The MAGU formwork is inserted into the grooves of the XPS insulation and secured with construction foam.
  • Bottom strips and structural steel (included in the MAGU Structural Steel Set for Pools) are placed on a PE construction sheet.

2. Construction of the pool walls

  • Before pouring the concrete floor slab, the connecting rebar for the walls is properly aligned. A wall pool element serves as a template.
  • The elements are assembled in a staggered pattern. Each unit has one closed side, which allows corners to be formed using just one building block.
  • A V-shaped notch is cut into the horizontal structural steel. At the corners, the steel is bent 90°.

3. Integration of Embedded Parts and Concrete Pouring

  • Skimmers, lights, and other built-in components are installed according to the manufacturer's instructions and secured against concrete pressure.
  • After aligning the walls, the gaps between them and the floor slab are carefully filled with construction foam.
  • The wall is filled with ready-mix concrete and properly compacted.

4. Waterproofing and Surface Finishing

  • After a few days, the exterior is protected with a plastic dimpled membrane. The area is then backfilled with gravel or well-draining soil.
  • Inside, the area can be waterproofed using geotextile and pool liner, or alternatively with plaster and tile.
