Build Your Own Swimming Pool or Natural Swimming Pond
To build the floor of your new swimming pool, start by using our floor slab formwork. This provides a stable foundation and perfect insulation. Once the floor slab has been poured, continue construction using our Neopor pool panels. Thanks to the innovative design, you can easily install both corners and straight walls with a precise fit.
You then integrate inlet jets and underwater lights into the pool walls to ensure optimal water circulation and lighting. After that, the formwork elements are filled with ready-mix concrete, which ensures a particularly stable structure.
Finally, the choice is yours: plaster, fill with putty, or simply seal with geotextile and plastic sheeting—whatever suits your taste. The result is a custom-designed swimming pool or natural swimming pond that fits perfectly into your garden.
Your swimming pool is ready! With MAGU pool modules made of Neopor, you can build your pool efficiently and easily—for pure swimming enjoyment right in your own backyard.

Schematic Diagram for Pool Construction
This diagram illustrates how to build a sturdy and energy-efficient pool using MAGU pool components. From the floor slab insulation custom-cut by MAGU to the waterproofing, all construction phases are explained step by step.
1. Preparing the Foundation
The floor slab insulation, which has been cut to size and assembled by MAGU, is laid on a layer of gravel.
The MAGU formwork is inserted into the grooves of the XPS insulation and secured with construction foam.
Bottom strips and structural steel (included in the MAGU Structural Steel Set for Pools) are placed on a PE construction sheet.
2. Construction of the pool walls
Before pouring the concrete floor slab, the connecting rebar for the walls is properly aligned—a wall pool element serves as a template.
The elements are stacked on top of each other in an offset pattern. Each unit has one closed side, allowing corners to be formed with just one block.
A V-shaped notch is cut into the horizontal structural steel. At the corners, the steel is bent 90°.
3. Integration of Embedded Parts and Concrete Pouring
Skimmers, lights, and other built-in components are installed according to the manufacturer's instructions and secured against concrete pressure.
After aligning the walls, the gaps between them and the floor slab are carefully filled with construction foam.
The wall is filled with ready-mix concrete and compacted by tamping.
4. Waterproofing and Surface Finishing
After a few days, an outer protective layer of plastic dimpled membrane (e.g., MAGU Delta MS dimpled membrane) is installed. The area is then backfilled with gravel or well-draining soil.
Inside, the area can be waterproofed using geotextile and pool liner, or alternatively with plaster and tile.
