The MAGU grid panel is the load-bearing element of the MAGU IN interior wall. The grid panels feature a snap-fit connection and deep grooves, which contribute to the MAGU wall's high load-bearing capacity.
Thanks to its Neopor cellular structure, the panel consists of 97% of trapped air, making it very lightweight for transport, handling, and installation. The cellular structure itself is a simple hydrocarbon derived, among other sources, from shale oil, and can be completely recycled after the wall has served its purpose. Thus, the life cycle assessment of MAGU IN is positive.
When installing MAGU IN, the first panel is glued to the floor using PU foam. The subsequent rows are interlocked in a staggered pattern and glued in place with PU foam. Thanks to the patented interlocking system, the panels snap securely into place.
After the wall is erected, all joints—both on the sides and at the ceiling—are carefully filled with PU foam.
Once the foam has cured, the MAGU Fiber Filler is mixed with water and a first layer 2–3 mm thick is applied directly to the grid panels. The glass fiber mesh is embedded, and the surface is then coated once more with the MAGU Fiber Filler. Once the plaster has cured, MAGU IN achieves tremendous strength and is therefore ideal for use as a room divider or a non-load-bearing interior wall.
Thanks to its sophisticated adhesive technology, MAGU IN is extremely stable and durable, even though it does not need to be screwed in place or anchored to the floor or ceiling with rails. This also makes it easy to dismantle the wall without leaving any residue.
