The Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics in Stuttgart conducted a preliminary airborne sound measurement on the MAGU interior wall. With a rated sound reduction index of Rw 31.2 dB according to DIN ISO 10140-2:2010, the result exceeded our expectations and confirmed our practical experience.
Lightweight yet sound-absorbing
Weighing about 20 kg per square meter, our MAGU IN is a true lightweight among interior walls. Thanks to its rigid sandwich structure, it nevertheless achieves a very good sound insulation rating of 31.2 dB. This makes MAGU IN comparable to a single-sheeted gypsum board stud wall or a non-load-bearing aerated concrete wall.
Meets the highest standards
Our MAGU IN thus exceeds the requirements of VDI Guideline 4100:2012-10 for apartments in Sound Insulation Class II with sound insulation within the unit itself (SST EBII), making it the ideal partition wall for all areas within an apartment or house.
Upgradeable for even better sound insulation
With a pre-glued drywall panel, the MAGU IN can also be easily upgraded or retrofitted to achieve even better sound insulation performance.
